The all-new Toyota LandCruiser Prado has arrived at CMI Toyota and we were thrilled to have Jordan take you through some the features.
If something about this Prado looks familiar to you, it might be its heritage design, with inspiration taken from the 70 series and iconic FJ40. This pays homage to the Prado’s rich legacy as a true off-roader.
As well as being a completely new design, the Prado’s Brake Towing Capacity has increased by 17% compared to the previous generation, with a towing capacity of 3 and a half tonnes. From boats to trailers, the Prado has your road-trip sorted.
This Prado is an offroader’s dream and featuring Active Traction Control, Downhill Assist Control, Central Diffs and Crawl Control, and in the VX and Kakadu you’ll also enjoy Multi Terrain Select and Adaptive Variable Suspension. Plus, in the VX, Altitude and Kakadu models, the Multi-Terrain Monitor to help improve your visuals when heading off-road.
In the Prado, there’s room for all your mates, with the option for 7-seats in the GXL, VX and Kakadu grades which fold down for extra cargo space when needed.
When it comes to tech, there’s everything you need in the Prado, especially for those long road trips, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plenty of USB-C charging ports, a HDMI port, and an incredible 14-speaker JBL sound system in the VX, Altitude and Kakadu models.
There’s also the option for an extra level of luxury in the Prado with selected models featuring a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated 1st and 2nd row seats, and refrigerated rear console box.
The advanced Safety features in the all-new Prado are really impressive, with trailer sway control, vehicle stability control, front and rear sensors and a reversing camera. There’s also Toyota Safety Sense, which includes a Pre-Collision Safety system, Driver Monitor Camera, Road Sign Assist and more.
V-Active technology is a new inclusion in this Prado. This technology allows energy to be recaptured when decelerating, reducing fuel consumption. It also reduces engine idling speed, which allows quiet restarts in stop-start traffic.
