National Tree Day 2023
CMI Toyota have proudly been involved in National Tree Day since 1999. This year we celebrated again with Toyota Australia as they embarked on their 24th year as the major sponsor of Planet Ark’s National Tree Day.
Watch our team join the Adelaide Secondary School of English for National Tree Day below.
National Tree Day is Australia’s largest community tree planting and nature care event, with over 300,000 volunteers taking part each year. Since 1996, 26 million trees have been planted by five million volunteers nationwide, who have generously donated more than 10 million hours of their time to help improve our environment.
On the last Friday in July, thousands of students and teachers nationwide participate in environmental activities that inspire and educate future generations on the many benefits of trees and connection with nature, as part of Schools Tree Day.
This year, the CMI Toyota Team were excited to assist the National Tree Day activities at the Adelaide Secondary School of English, Christies Beach Primary School and Kilkenny Primary School.
Students at each school enjoyed coming together with their classmates to learn the best practices in planting trees and using teamwork to establish as many trees and shrubs around their school as possible on the day.
It was great to see so many of the students roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty to help the environment and support their community with so much enthusiasm.
After all the incredible work by the students at the Adelaide Secondary School of English, the CMI Toyota team treated the volunteers to a delicious BBQ to say thanks for all their hard work.
We would like to thank all of the students and teachers at the Adelaide Secondary School of English, Christies Beach Primary School and Kilkenny Primary School for their support and participation in National Tree Day.
Toyota’s long-term partnership with Planet Ark’s National Tree Day is one that aligns with their commitment to reach net zero CO2 emissions by 2050.
Toyota is continually working towards a more sustainable motoring future as global leaders in environmental research and technologies to create a more sustainable future for the community around us.
The team at CMI Toyota are proud to be able to join Toyota Australia in giving back to the community and engaging in environmental activities, and we can’t wait to do it again next year!
