Proudly supporting the Childhood Cancer Association Gold Ribbon Gala Ball
The CMI Toyota team are proud to support many incredible and life-changing organisations in the South Australian community, including the Childhood Cancer Association.
Last month, the Childhood Cancer Association hosted their inaugural Gold Ribbon Gala to a sold-out room of more than 700 supporters at the Adelaide Convention Centre and some of the CMI Toyota team were very excited to attend.
With the support of our parent company, the CMV Group, and the CMV Group Foundation, we were also very proud to support the evening by partly funding the Toyota Yaris Ascent Sport which was raffled off on the night!
The Childhood Cancer Association does not receive ongoing government funding. They are 100% reliant on donations and support from the community to raise sufficient funds to deliver their vital services. Events such as the Gold Ribbon Gala are just one of the ways that they do this and it plays a vital role in raising funds for local children with cancer, and their families.
From listening to guest speakers, entering the Toyota Yaris car raffle, buying a mystery bottle of wine wall, bidding in the live auction and trying their luck in the silent auction, guests had plenty of opportunities to give to this amazing organisation, whilst enjoying an entertaining evening with emcees Jarrod Walsh and Hayley Pearson.
We’re thrilled to let you know that an amazing $382,313 was raised at the inaugural Gold Ribbon Gala.
While the highlight of the night was the phenomenal amount of funds raised to support hundreds of local children with cancer, the entertainment by magician and mentalist, Matt Tarrant and Adelaide's own Broadway sensation, Philippa Lynas was nothing short of sensational.
Thanks to the amazing generosity of guests, partners, supporters, donors and volunteers, the Childhood Cancer Association can continue to have a positive impact on the mental health and well-being of families impacted by childhood cancer. We already can’t wait until next year’s event!

They’re here to help families from South Australia and the Northern Territory — and also support country Victoria and New South Wales families if their child receives treatment in Adelaide.
